Aladdin I really wish you could remember her last episode.

Insisting that if Sadira is innocent there is no reason to run away, Aladdin boasts that he’ll protect her from the big mean merchant.

Because we already know Aladdin is kind of full of himself. And because girlfriend or no girlfriend he has this inherent need to show off, apparently. I have the impression, just because Iago and Abu are not freaking out, that it’s been a while since Sandswitch, and Aladdin has seen Sadira off and on a few times just around town, and they’ve been mostly harmless encounters that ended quickly.

Now she’s just as he left her after their first encounter – a misunderstood streetrat who might still have bit of a crush, but he’ll still be nice to her.

Leave alone that I’m getting a lot of wrong signals from him because of the way he says it, and because what she did in the previous episode was so fucked up that it just feels weird that he’s this friendly with her even though we know he forgot.

Oh, and here’s a lovely between frame we get when Farouk apparently throws himself out of a two story window to continue chasing Sadira.

Sadira. Sadira, run. No more doe eyes. Run.

(Can we just…all the horrible and wrong proportions here. Especially that arm he’s holding.)

Aladdin discovers a stand at the bazaar that sells hats from other nations and times.

…Okay it might be something you’d see around there but it’s still pretty dorky.

Wat.

Aladdin you are spending WAY too much time around Genie.

Also is the guy who owns this stand responsible for decorating Mozenrath’s house? Is he a time lord? A time lord who needs money?

God Iago wishes he was shopping with Jasmine right now.

Production Code Episode 54: Dune Quixote

This is Sadira’s third appearance in the series. Some things to bear in mind as we jump into this that need be remembered:

1. No one but Iago, Abu, and Rajah remember what happened in Sandswitch. 2. It may have been long enough that at least Iago and Abu have cooled off. This is one I haven’t seen in a few years, and the last time it was purely for icon-making purposes. What I do remember is that Jasmine had a slightly more active role (compared to Sadira’s first appearance, anyway), and this episode kind of attempts to flip that “other woman” bullshit on its head. …Eventually.

So off we go!

Re Hercules. Icarus’s harassing is iffy but the one thing I do like is that Icarus and Cassandra don’t ever get together and she never expresses romantic feelings for him. She’s gotten fond of him as a friend despite herself. And that’s *it*. And there’s no awkward triangle with them and Herc, thank goodness.

I think I get you!

We don’t know how old Amahl was when he was taken. But if he was closer to 7 than 14 and is 21ish now, there’s another 3 nights unaccounted for. If during those nights he brought any future El Katib, to Mirage then I’d say he’s got some stuff to atone for. Not sure if you’re familiar with Buffy or Angel. Angel is a vampire cursed to have his human soul back & he expresses guilt over his acts & the acts of the ‘monsters’ he created when he turned people. Maybe it’s something like that?

I’m not really so sure about that or that it matters? We know it was seven years since Amahl was taken, so unless he got out and about and took some people in the night or two immediately following his abduction, there’s really not another three days to account for.

And I am familiar with Buffy and Angel, and I’m sure it is something very similar, but like I said, I don’t think Amahl has had the time for the same level of guilt to be leveled against him, at least not for things he’s done on earth, at any rate.

Not jealous exactly she gets to a part of her scroll about friendship and feels guilty about yelling at him is more what happens. Because you know harassment is what you look for in friendship?

The “pursue the girl you want relentlessly until she says yes because it’s romantic” trope is an unfortunate staple in our media.

About Hercules the show, the two main character besides Herc are Icarus and Cassandra and Icarus is always harassing Cassandra no many how many times she tells him to fuck off. Like in any episode that has the two of them you’ll see that. I suggested The Dream Date epi and I think I should warn you about that before you jump into an episode of that show.

I vaguely remember that and I recall it being played for laughs. If I’m not mistaken there’s an episode with Circe (voiced by Idina Menzel), and Cassandra gets jealous when Icarus starts following after her instead. All part of the formula.
