So I stopped posting my GoFundMe account a couple weeks ago because I thought I got a job.

Everything went horribly wrong from there.

Over the past couple weeks I’ve been corresponding with someone about a potential job, and I was sucked in, hook line and sinker. I’ve been out of a job and desperate for work, so they pretty much said all the things I wanted to hear. They sent me a check to pay for office equipment, and when it cleared I was told to pay a “trusted vendor”, which I did.

You see where this is going. I know I may seem like the least intelligent person in the world at present, but understand I was desperate. I also had people check for scams with the company name when I was first contacted. Two weeks ago? Nothing. Today?

So I am suddenly almost $2000 in the negative and will be held liable for these expenses. I’ve filed fraud with the Federal Trade Commission, with Western Union, and will be contacting the police tomorrow.

In the meantime, I have a credit card payment I still have to make, a phone to keep working and jobs to continue looking for. Any money I make at my (less than 10 hour a week) current part time job will be direct deposited into my account and eat away at the negative balance and therefore can’t be used. I need help, and I need it fast.

Please help and PLEASE spread the word about these people.

Guys I hate asking for this. I hate it. Absolutely hate it. But at this point, I’m desperate. Please donate, and please signal boost and share so that these people don’t hurt someone you know or may be following you.

so that was a lie hahaha, so really, how have you been?

Yeeeeah it really was, and I apologize. Pretty much everything’s been on hold because I didn’t get any classes to teach this semester so I’ve been looking for work. The good news? I’m about to start training on a full time job, and I’ll be working from home, and the income is going to be so good that it’s literally going to change my life. Keep me in your thoughts!

Oh no. No, Aladdin what are you doing.

Well now that his hair look’s like a goose’s ass, they’re trying to get him to plaster a permanent “I smell something bad” face, because everybody knows the key to culture is looking like a stinknosed snob.

Jasmine…doesn’t get it. Well no, she doesn’t get it until Aladdin starts reciting quotes, and then she totally gets it. Because Jasmine is perceptive like that.

ON TO THE QUOTES:

I’m just gonna hit all of these and then tell you who said them, whether they had been born yet at the assumed time of this story, and how white they probably are.

-“Hair is but the outward ornament, while true beauty lies within.”
This one actually turns up Aladdin quotes more than other sources. It looks as though parts of it were inspired by Shakespearean lines but that’s about it.

-“A good talker implies a good audience.”This is a shortened quote from Leslie Stephen: “A good talker, even more than a good orator, implies a good audience.” Father of Virginia Woolf and yeah. White guy. Why is this important? Because it’s not as though nobody outside of Europe or the US – nobody relevant to the region that inspired this series – said anything clever or profound or anything.

-“While shame keeps its watch, virtue is not wholly extinguished.”
Edmund Burke, Whig Party member, member of the House of Commons in Britain, 1700s. Yeah.

So yeah, see the trend.

Anyway, Jasmine sees through everything after the first or second quote and is just like “Oh I see. You’re embarrassed about the other day. Well, you were just being yourself. So don’t be.”

And he keeps talking in robot-snob, so she’s like “No, come talk to me when you stop doing that.” Like she should.

The guards go out into the desert to investigate a report by a couple nomads seen at the beginning of the episode.

They find glass.

Which works the same way as ice, right? Yeah, totally.

And having it sit in the hot desert sun all day isn’t going to make it intensely fucking hot or anything, right?

Anyway, I can’t decide if this thing is a fire breathing caterpillar or a fire breathing centipede.

Because Caterpillars, in general? Less terrifying, at least when they’re normal sized and don’t have flame throwers in their mouths.

Aladdin wants to be more like Daru. Iago says “don’t mess your hair up” and “quote things.” …Yeah, I think Iago is totally screwing with him.

This is my headcanon and I’m sticking to it. In all fairness, Iago has been doing these exact things, and he was impressing the Hell out of those guests. But we already know it’s not exactly something he’s always been doing. He just knows how to impress those kinds of people.

I just also think he’s smart enough to understand what a lot of these quotes mean.

Also he has a giant scroll of witty quotes.

Just because. Okay, now the phoney quotes make sense. Daru didn’t travel forward in time. Whoever wrote the scroll did.

Aladdin feels more cultured already.

What Iago failed to mention is that Daru is probably taking the same shortcut. Because that shit was totally fake.
